Youth Tour to Washington D.C.

Two programs run by URE are designed just with high school students in mind:

Sophomores and Juniors are eligible to attend the Youth Tour to Washington D.C. held annually.

This national event brings students together from all over Ohio to travel together to meet their peers in D.C. Every student who goes comes back raving about the experience. This is not your average school field trip!

Both URE members and non-members are eligible if they attend one of these schools: Fairbanks HS, Marysville HS, North Union HS, Jonathan Alder HS, and Union County residents who attend one of the Dublin High Schools or Triad HS.

Scholarships

High School Seniors from URE member households are eligible to compete in one of two one-year scholarship contests.

The Traditional Scholarship focuses on academic achievement but also considers contributions made to community and school activities. The other scholarship is the Touchstone Energy Special Achievement Scholarship which honors a high school student who has overcome obstacles and displayed the qualities of accountability, integrity, innovation and commitment to community.
