Insulation Rebate up to $800
Insulation rebate to member is limited to $800 or 50% of the total project cost (whichever is lower) of a qualifying upgrade project.
- Maximum amount of rebate can be no more than 50% of the total cost of the project.
- Encourage installation of insulation and/or air sealing in existing electrically heated residential homes.
- Not applicable for new construction or room additions.
- Must follow Energy Star guidelines and achieve minimum R‐38 for attic; and/or R‐6 for ducts
Air Sealing Rebate up to $400
Air sealing rebate to member is limited to $400 or 50% of the total project cost (whichever is lower) of a qualifying upgrade project.
- Maximum amount of rebate can be no more than 50% of the total cost of the project.
- Must follow Energy Star guidelines.
- Requires blower door test to verify reading of < 4,000 CFM50 for air sealing. Requires duct blast test achieving ≤ 12CFM25 per 100 sq. feet (for both conditioned and unconditioned space) for duct sealing.

Geothermal Rebate up to $800
URE electric members are eligible for up to $800 in rebates for installing a qualified geothermal system. A geothermal system is a very efficient way to reduce energy consumption while still heating and cooling your home.

NEW! Dual-Fuel Heat Pump Rebate $600
URE is offering a $600 rebate to cooperative members who install a new dual-fuel heat pump and Radio Control Switch (RCS) for heating and cooling in a home, office, or other building.
A heat pump is an energy-efficient system designed to provide year-round comfort in your home. In the winter, the heat pump provides warm, comfortable heat. In the summer, it becomes a central air conditioner, extracting heat from inside your home and pumping it outdoors.
This rebate is available only to consumer-members. Members must install the ENERGY STAR®-qualified equipment between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The heat pump must be a central or ductless mini-split system meeting current minimum federal appliance efficiency standards. The installer must be a dealer approved by the cooperative. All rebates are issued in the form of a credit to the member’s electric account. A maximum of two rebates may be paid per residential member home.

Water Heater Rebate $200/$250
To qualify for the water heater rebate program the purchased water heater must follow the guidelines below:
- Electric storage water heater must be greater than 90% EF
- Heat Pump Water Heaters must be less than or equal to 55 gallons
- On-demand water heaters are not applicable.
- 5 year minimum warranty
- Maximum two rebates per residential member home.
- A radio control load control switch (RCS) must be installed and remain for at least 5 years.
- Replacing an existing water heater with an existing RCS = $200.
- Installing a new water heater with a new RCS = $250.
You will need to provide the Member Services Representative with the following:
- Manufacturer
- Tank size (in gallons)
- Copy of the product purchased receipt - bring in or email services@ure.com
- Type of system that was replaced: Electric/Propane/Natural Gas/Fuel Oil/Other/New Home

Electric Vehicle Charging Station Rebate $250

To qualify for the electric vehicle charging station you must follow the guidelines below:
- Must be a Level 2 charger
- Must provide copy of product paid receipt - (valid dates: Jan. 2019 - present)
- Must be inspected by the local governmental authority - inspection number will be required for rebate.
- Maximum two charging port rebates per residential consumer-member home.
- Maximum six charging port rebates per non-residential consumer-member building/facility
- Rebate is retroactive to January 2019.
